Fees & Service Areas

• Rate: $200 per 60-minute session. (If you are facing financial difficulties, please discuss this directly with your therapist.)

• Location: In-person (PEI) and Virtual (PEI, NB, NS, and Ontario).

• Regulatory Note: All professional complaints must be submitted to the CCT of PEI, regardless of your home province.

Please verify your health coverage prior to booking to confirm your specific plan benefits.

• Canada Life (including PSHCP), Great-West Life, Manulife, & Industrial Alliance

• Belairdirect / Johnson's Insurance

• Most companies under the TELUS Health and Express Scripts networks

Offered ONLY by Carolyn Black:

• NIHB (for Indigenous peoples)

• PBAS Group (for Holland College & UPEI students)

• RBC Insurance & Green Shield Administration

• Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) & Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) (IFHP is processed via Blue Cross upon request)

• RWAM (See exception below)

Offered ONLY by Sandra Sheridan:

• Workers Compensation Board of PEI (WCB)

Important Billing Exceptions

• Desjardins & Simply Benefits Appointments: Both companies cover our services, but their systems do not allow clinics to direct-bill their nsurance for counselling therapist sessions. Clients using these insurers for virtual care must pay upfront; our system will immediately issue a detailed receipt for your manual reimbursement.

• RWAM: Direct billing is uniquely set up only for Carolyn Black. If you are seeing any other therapist at Red Sands Therapy Inc., you will need to pay upfront and submit your receipt to RWAM manually.

Our team is actively working with these insurance providers to expand our direct billing capabilities and will gladly support you with any documentation needed.
